Study of forage species of the maritime region of Togo used in livestock feed

Natural pastures constitute the bulk of livestock feed in Togo, but very few studies have been conducted on their nutritional value. The objective study is to identify maritime region located south Togo plant resources available and recoverable feed. During ethnobotanical survey field, feeding behavior grazing cattle was observed made it possible collect samples grazed plants. A part each sample brought laboratory for taxonomic identification then another goes bromatological analysis. results obtained from analysis 40 most palatable species showed that moisture content varies 2.23 9.43%. rates ash, fat crude fiber vary respectively 9.43%, 1.29 30.33%, 0.85 8.11% 6.03 32 .3%.
